After Skippy and Loupie blogged about LibraryThing I decided to try it out; unfortunately, it prefers American titles to original British ones (“The Golden Compass” my arse, it’s “Northern Lights”), and has no consistent naming convention—both of which really annoy me, as does the inaccuracy of a lot of the information (Anne McCaffrey’s been writing for a while, but I doubt many of her books have been in print since 1709…). So, I went to work with IkiWiki and, using its tagging and blog support, built the framework for my ?books catalogue. Following shortly will be a similar catalogue for ?albums.

Rather annoyed at myself for missing Towel Day, the annual commemorative wossname of Douglas Adams. I didn’t realise it was today until about 9pm. Bugger.
